what's cricket got to do with it?

When someone calls you a monkey, it is not a racial slur, it is an insult.
And if you don’t have the sense to understand that, then the only one insulted is the monkey.

I agree. In India, monkey is indeed a minor insult that is thrown around carelessly, and seeing that it hurts Symonds, harbhajan might have used it. Of course, there is no proof he did!
It is time the caucasian world stopped treating everyone by their own cultural yardstick. This is not to say Indians arent racist though...

sheesh, monkey? surds use that word to refer to their kids ... ke vekh iss bandar nu ... like that. bhajji didnt call symonds a monkey, he said 'teri maa ki' and the moron heard it as 'monkey'. probably coz he's so used to being called that.
