Dubai Mall, flooded due to rains!
Mannn! If a stray thunderstorm can have this effect on the biggest mall in the muddle east... I shudder to think what would happen if something really bad happens!
SwB: no it didn't! that's what i'm saying! the place was leaking with such a little amount of rainfall, imagine something huge! and i've never been on the metro, so not sure how things are there, but i saw it running yesterday. they haven't reported any fault with it, then again, they don't report stuff like this. even this (dxb mall leaking cos of the rain) was not reported in the papers!
I don't think the rains caused it. I heard that the huge aquarium at the mall developed a leak and water started gushing out, causing the flooding. The mall was apparently closed for 24 hours the fix the chip.
Anon: dude, i was THERE. the aquarium leak happened on thursday. i was in the mall on thursday, though i didn't go to the aquarium part of it at all. i was also in the mall on saturday, watching a movie. During the movie, we got texts informing us of hail and rain and thunderstorms... and when we walked out, the place was flooded.

My god, it rained that much? but how the water get in? And is the metro still running or are the stations flooded?
