Ok! Here's the deal, I'm looking for a job in this damn desert! (which doesn't seem to be damned and is nothing like a desert, but watever!)
I've left my beloved country and came back here, and have been here for almost 2 months now. I got two job offers, one which I rejected cos its not really what I wanna do (KILL ME!!!), and the other which did not work out, cos speculating really isn't my thing. I thought I could do it at first, but then I realised that was just the money talking!
So anyway, I'm without a job, getting bugged with the sighs of despair from my parents who think I'm a waste of oxygen, and I've been putting on weight like crazy, cos all I do is, of course, eat sleep, and turn the pages of the Appointments section of Gulf News ( the local noosepaper), which does not really count as exercise!
This post doesn't really have a point, other than ranting a bit about the injustice of it all I guess. I've been working for almost two years now, and was dependent on NOBODY financially. So now I feel weird when I have to go daddy for everything.
Somebody (AAANYbody) help me!!!!!!!!!!!!

I bet you could start up a good sand export business...considering it's a desert and all that...there must be people out there who need lots of sand...like for litter trays and things like that :)
Seriously, good luck with finding a job. Sometimes it's not a bad thing being unemployed :) but I can kinda understand the frustration...
hey sonia - something will work out. it always does.
hi just came across ur blog... i guess this happens to all... life is sometimes a huge trouble.. chill girl things will fall in place soon..dont worry...
to Morquendi: sand export huh? hmm! i could try it i suppose. but then what will the camels do?? ;o)
to Cactusjump: thanx for the faith! i sure hope so.
to musings: I'm sure it will, meanwhile, i'm chillin! at least i'm trying to! :o)
Something will work out, it always does. What DO you want to do workwise?
What to do, when there is nothing
To do and to be done,
Take that nothing and do it away,
And while doing that have some fun!
:) You'll get over this. And you'll become a sand xporting millionaire as morq sayz... and do not worry about the camels... give them as a bonus to whoever takes the sand!
Just hang in there.
Me here 4 de first time!!! There are two things tht v hv in common. One is tht v stay in de GULF and secondly, even i am on a job hunt.

to Kahini: I'd like to get into management, in the engg field, cos i'm an engineer. but i don't wanna do coding, more into networking. let's see, i have a few things in the pipeline. (cross your fingers and PRAY!)

I enjoyed my 2 months stay in Dubai and if I dont get to US from my current company, I think I will move in Dubai only. Its awesome place...hmmm...maybe job hunt is frustrating...
Just chill...
Good luck!!
to Arz000n: hi! i know how you feel about dubai. I lived here till i was 17 and loved the place, but now that i've been to India, I love it there so much! India has history, its passionate, its ... mine! i doubt i'll feel that way for dubai.
Obviously, the feeling is different when u r treated like an alien in foreign country. Believe me, I have travelled to places outside India, but after a weeks stay, except for the luxury of staying in hotel and njoying on clients expese...there is absolutely no fun involved.
After all, Home is always a home...
